Last time I took part in the plant shelfie challenge for Urban Jungle Bloggers, I created a little indoor garden scene on a shelf in my home office.
This time around I thought it might be interesting to create a few different vignettes and experiment with different shapes and textures. Especially as I just picked up a collection of new plants yesterday for a photo-shoot for the launch of our new shelf.

My new plants include a fern and some succulents in a variety of different shapes.

Using a Pacco Floating Drawer as the base for my series of plant shelfies, I played around with different combinations of plants and objects. What’s really interesting, is how you can create such different looks with plants, depending on how you arrange them.

I explored some very contrasting looks. Sometimes, more minimalist.

Sometimes, quite rustic in style.

In the end, I discovered sometimes just a simple arrangement of vibrant greenery looks best of all.

When my youngest came home from school today he said to me: “There are so many plants all over the place, it looks like a jungle!” Well, since I was preparing for an Urban Jungle Bloggers post – I guess that’s exactly how it should be!
